After calling several contractors with no success for the project I needed completed, it was suggested that I go on the Better Business Bureau website. After doing research, I found Edan Levy , of Silver Hammer Builders. After the first project which I was very pleased with, I decided I would get a kitchen remodel and I was completely blown away. I think they could have done a bit better job containing the dust that was created as a result of the construction, but overall the workers were tidy and cleaned up after themselves every day. They also patched up the interior damage one of the leaks had caused- you'd never know the ceiling was patched and the painter was very thorough in cleaning up. There were regular updates and they were easy to get a hold of for any additional questions I had during the process. Overall, we're really glad we chose Silver Hammer Builders to replace the roof of our house and detached garage.

We are super happy with the work Silver Hammer Builders did on our new roof! The whole process was easy and clear. We had a bunch of estimates and Edan was only one of two that took the time to really walk through the whole process in that initial estimate visit. They were accommodating to my schedule when we had to delay the start of the project and incredibly efficient! Finished ahead of schedule, and those guys were working hard the whole time! I'm looking forward to no more leaks now that LA is getting more rain in the winters. We did a walkthrough afterwards and a small amount of debris (a couple nails and wrapping plastic) was found- the workers came back the following day and it feels like they used a fine tooth comb because I haven't found anything since. They also patched up the interior damage one of the leaks had caused- you'd never know the ceiling was patched and the painter was very thorough in cleaning up. There were regular updates and they were easy to get a hold of for any additional questions I had during the process. Overall, we're really glad we chose Silver Hammer Builders to replace the roof of our house and detached garage.

The process of getting a new roof shouldn't be stressful and it wasn't. Thanks to Edan, the process was smooth and quick. It took 4 days to complete a 2700 sq foot rooftop. Everyday, either Edan or Roy would check in to provide an update on the project. I would say on any given day, there were anywhere from 4-7 workers on site to make the project go by quickly. We really didn't have to do, Silver hammer builders took care of the permit process. Communication is key for any large home project, it was easy to communicate with anyone. Besides, the daily onsite check in. I was about to send a quick email, text or call if I had any simple questions. We installed Owens Corning shingles. I work from home, I can see and hear the workers during the installation process. If you aren't home, they provided footage of the torch process on the flat portion of the roof and step by step visuals of the project. Overall, great workmanship and open communication allows for a great relationship on the house project.

They do great work, have wonderful attention to detail, and I really felt like a partner throughout the process with Edan. I think they could have done a bit better job containing the dust that was created as a result of the construction, but overall the workers were tidy and cleaned up after themselves every day.
